What an amazing guy, and great work Curt provides. He is an extremely friendly man who is very accommodating and easy to get along with. He put a brand new transmission in my older model 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 diesel when I broke down on the interstate from out of town and he did a great job, for a fair price, and kept me well informed, as he knew I was 200 miles from out of town and had to get a ride back home. I didn't even ask him to put a rush on it, as I have other vehicles to drive, but he was apparently accustomed to nonlocals needing their vehicle back when they live so far away, so I would say he a very good at triage, and has very good values. I know I may seem overenthusiastic, but I know that transmission people are a dying breed, and a good transmission guy that won't rip you off is hard to come by. I normally wouldn't choose anyone that I don't know to work on my transmission, but I didn't have much choice in this instance, I can vouch for Curt at Coggins Transmission, as he runs a great and honest business. Be leary of some transmission shops, that buy your total rebuild kit for over a thousand dollars, but only put in some of the parts that failed, so they can keep the rest and use on another customer, for you to only break down a few months later because your other transmission components failed that weren't replaced. I feel confident that Coggins transmission wouldn't do this fraudulent practice to you. They're a great choice.

Called them after a dealership told me I need a new transmission without even seeing the car! Coggins took the time to explain over the phone what was most likely going on, that the part was most likely NOT the transmission, but unfortunately because of the age of the vehicle (old) would recommend a different repair center.. Which they did! Always VERY impressed when a vendor takes the time to explain and is honest especially when it could cost them business to recommend a potential competitor

Price was very good. My Miata now runs like a dream. I had taken it to an auto repair shop that I always go to and they told me that I need a new transmission, decided to get a second opinion on that and I’m so glad that I did I took her to Coggins and all that it s it needed was a new bearing and a clutch so he did he saved me a lot of money and I am so glad he’s in town and I will always take my Miata back to him again and any other car that I have thank you very much Mr. Coggins I would’ve given you 100 stars but they only gave five!!!

This review is long overdue. Long story short, my wife and I bought a used 2006 Ford F-150 in the fall as a tow vehicle. We started towing a boat and travel trailer and noticed the transmission was slipping during large inclines. I called around and all the shops that I spoke to were either too busy or tried to sell me a rebuilt transmission. Here at Coggins, Kurt offered a much more prescriptive approach. He took the time and effort to walk through the issue over the phone and asked that I drop the vehicle off for him to look at and test himself. I was kept in the loop the entire time and all of the diagnostics were explained to me. Turns out there was a leak and our transmission fluid was very low. These guys repaired it at a very fair, reasonable price and we have been towing smoothly ever since! Thank you, Kurt and team! You have earned my future business for sure! Very rare to find folks like these at Coggins who are experienced, knowledgeable, and honest.

2007 Ford Explorer blew all the fluid out of the transmission and stopped dead in its tracks. Had it towed by Billy's Wrecker Service super bunch of folks A1 service!! To Coggins Transmissions, with in 1 or 2 hours was told what they thought was wrong. The next day it was repaired and ready to go! Was fully expecting another transmission and a 3000- 4000 dollar bill but nope Kurt is so honest it was a 370.00 bill awesome place and so refreshing to be treated so honestly!!!!!
